WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2014, Distill is a branding studio located in Palo Alto, California. We partner with clients and brands to solve their design and marketing problems. No project is the same, just as no client is the same. We build collaborative teams from our network of graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, copywriters, project managers, strategists, producers and artists, giving you exactly the right team to meet your needs.

We believe that creativity doesn’t have to be confusing or overwhelming. To that end, we work with our clients to assess what is working and not working for their brand and help distill it to its true essence. We then shape it in a way that pinpoints “Oh, this is who you really are.” This process not only allows clients to land somewhere good, but also somewhere they want to go.

OUR FOUNDER

Dani Guralnick has always liked art. It was clear from the beginning that she was a designer at heart; as a kid she stored her markers in order, she spent too much time perfecting her handwriting and would get lost for hours doing homework for art class. After graduating college, she found her psychology degree less useful as a career path and more as a jumping off point in understanding people. So, she finally decided to listen to her nature, go back to school for graphic design and make making art her career.

Since that day, Dani has worked at a handful of design firms and advertising agencies, including the legendary Wieden+Kennedy. There, she worked with such giants as Coca-Cola, Nike, Target, Starbucks, Travel Oregon and many other brands, both large and tiny. After 10 years with Wieden+Kennedy, Dani moved to the Bay Area and founded Distill Creative Studio where her years of brand and marketing experience make collaboration between her team and clients meaningful and easy. And, she still finds joy in an organized marker bin and gets lost for hours doing art.
